Matar Kachori with Mustard Oil
Ingredients:
For
dough;
1
cup of all purpose flour
2
tablespoons Organic Nation mustard oil
Water
as required
¼
teaspoon baking powder
Organic Nation Himalayan Pink Rock Salt to taste
For stuffing:
1
cup green peas
¼
teaspoon red chilli powder
¼
teaspoon turmeric powder
½
teaspoon coriander powder
½
teaspoon fennel powder
Chaat masala to taste
½
teaspoon green chilli ginger paste
¼
teaspoon cumin seeds
2
teaspoon Organic Nation’s mustard oil
1
tablespoon besan
¼
teaspoon Organic Nation’s black salt
Salt
to taste
Organic
Nation’s Mustard Oil to fry (gives beautiful aroma and it healthy as compared
to other oils)
Recipe:-
●
In
a bowl add the dry ingredients and sieve it, then add water to make a soft
dough then let it rest.
●
For
the filling in a pan add Organic Nation’s mustard oil (for rusty flavour) , heat
it to smoking point then add cumin seeds when it splutters, add the ginger
garlic paste, fry on low heat.
●
Add
the coarsely crushed peas, besan, dry spices, black salt, and salt. Stir and
mix well.
●
Make
small balls from dough, roll it and add stuffing in the middle. Then bring the
edges together and make a smooth ball.
●
Now
roll the stuffed balls, and cover it with wet cloth.
●
Heat
oil in a pan, when it reaches smoking point, sim the oil and fry the kachoris
in low to medium heat.
●
Serve
it with tangy tamarind chutney and tea.
